Computer bookings

A student booking service for library computers is available in person or by phoning your library. You will need to produce your TAFEcard when making or taking up your booking. Bookings can be made up to a week ahead for a maximum of 2 hours per day. Bookings not taken up within 15 minutes of the booking start time will be forfeited.

COVID - 19: Social Distancing measures mean there are less available computers than normal in the libraries. Campuses are providing extra facilities and extended hours. Details available from the libraries.

  • Please book ahead to avoid disappointment.
  • Wipes will be supplied for you to clean the computer prior to use.
  • Bring your own headphones if needed.
  • Most computers in libraries and on campus do not currently have camera capability.

TAFENSW Wi-Fi network

TAFE NSW Wi-Fi. Please note that TAFE requires students to be authenticated when accessing the wireless network. This means that you will need to log into the network with your current TAFE username and password. 

Library staff can also offer some assistance to connect your device to the network. Given the age, complexities and settings of some devices, it may not always be possible to connect your device. For further details and detailed instructions in English, check the

Office 365 Education - free software for students

Office 365 - this software is freely available for TAFE NSW students and staff. It includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, OneDrive and Teams for your desktop or mobile devices including Android, iPad, and Windows tablets. Other apps are Calendar, People, Tasks, To-Do and Whiteboard. Students have free access for the duration of their course. To get started go to:

read&write for TAFE NSW

read&write is a software program that provides reading, comprehension, writing and study skills support across multiple operating systems, web browsers and document formats (including Microsoft Office 365, Google files and PDFs). read&write is available on all educational computers in TAFE NSW and is available for download on personal computers. For more information read the instructions on the Technology for Learning LibGuide:
