Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) TAFENSW Wi-Fi network

The Bring your Own Device (BYOD) wireless network at TAFE NSW - Northern Sydney. Please note that TAFE requires students to be authenticated when accessing the wireless network. This means that you will need to log into the network with your current TAFE username and password. 

Library staff can also offer some assistance to connect your device to the network. Given the age, complexities and settings of some devices, it may not always be possible to connect your device. For further details including videos and detailed instructions, check the NS BYOD network page.

Office 365 Education - free software for students

Office 365 Education - this free software is available for students and includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, and Access on up to 5 PCs, Macs or mobile devices including Android, iPad®, and Windows tablets. Laptops and computers

Free computing facilities are available in all the libraries for currently enrolled students. Access to the Internet and various application packages such as Office and MYOB, are available on all computers. For a list of software available at your local library, ask library staff.

Laptops and/or notebooks are available for loan to students for use in the library only. Contact your local library for booking conditions.

Computer bookings

A student booking service for library computers is available in person or by phoning your library. You will need to produce your TAFEcard when making or taking up your booking. Bookings can be made up to a week ahead for a maximum of 2 hours per day. Bookings not taken up within 15 minutes of the booking start time will be forfeited.
